How often has a phone call changed someone’s career path? Who knows, but in Scott Belcuore’s case, it’s a good thing he answered the call because it brought him to MAC Productions.
“I received a phone call from a friend that worked at MAC, at the time, three days after Swallen’s (a Cincinnati-based retail chain where he previously worked as a furniture manager) closed all of their stores,” Belcuore recalls. That’s how he came to join the MAC Productions team.
Fast-forward 26 years later, and he still enjoys working as the company’s Warehouse/R2/Logistics Manager, where the relationships and friendships he’s made with both clients and coworkers are his favorite part of the job.
Scott enjoys the family atmosphere at MAC Productions and having the chance to bring such creative productions to life. He also enjoys the perks of travel – like taking a safari excursion when he worked on an event in Durban, South Africa.
Away from work, Belcuore has a variety of hobbies and pursuits to keep him busy. These include playing golf, reading, collecting comic books and cooking (Cajun and Creole cuisine are his top two specialties). He also enjoys making bourbon bottle lamps. No bottles of bourbon were harmed in the making of these projects, but spirits were enjoyed.
However, while cooking is a passion for Scott, his work family shouldn’t worry about him trading in his wearhouse gear for an apron anytime soon.
“We have a great group of people here at MAC. Most of our team members have been here 10 years or longer,” he says. “Our employees and everyone’s willingness to go above and beyond for all of our clients, big or small, is present in every production we work on. It’s what I love most about our work.”
