The streets of New Orleans came alive at IAVM’s 100th VenueConnect Annual Conference and Trade Show, held July 28–31, 2025, at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. This wasn’t just another conference — it was a centennial celebration staged with the flair and vibrance only New Orleans could inspire.

The stage design was a love letter to Bourbon Street itself — a custom printed backdrop transported attendees straight into the French Quarter, complete with large hanging chandeliers, sheer drapery floating overhead, and a digital display podium that tied modern technology into timeless style. And of course, no New Orleans set would be complete without the unmistakable sound of a live jazz band, filling the room with brass and rhythm that pulsed like the heartbeat of the city.

At VC25, every detail carried meaning. The chandeliers shimmered like streetlamps guiding late-night wanderers. The drapery softened the space into an atmosphere equal parts elegance and revelry. The backdrop? Pure Bourbon Street magic, steeped in history yet bursting with energy — the perfect metaphor for a conference marking 100 years of IAVM.

But this event wasn’t just about looks. IAVM’s VenueConnect is an experience you can’t afford to miss — with cutting-edge education sessions, an exhibit hall brimming with innovation, venue tours that pulled back the curtain on operations, a Foundation Golf Tournament and Cooking Experience, and even the DILC Celebration for a Cause Fundraiser. And when it came time to close the conference, the Closing Night Party kept the spirit of the Crescent City alive.

For some, it was just a conference. For IAVM and MAC, it was a show — a seamless blend of education, entertainment, and environment. A moment where every detail of staging told a story. A reminder that when you merge the right design with the right city, you don’t just build a set… you build an experience.

Because in New Orleans — and at VenueConnect 2025 — the stage wasn’t just seen. It was felt.
